Lightbath is the moniker of artist Bryan Noll and a vehicle to explore rhythm, texture, and ambience. With early beginnings in NYC’s improvisational music scene, Noll developed a sensitivity for group interaction in duos and small ensembles, but it wasn’t until he found the modular synthesizer that he began to explore his singular voice.
In 2015 Noll started creating short modular synthesizer performance videos on Vimeo and YouTube as Fourhexagons. He continues with this practice as Lightbath and is currently working toward the release of an album.
Noll studied at The New School under Jane Ira Bloom and Mark Dresser and has performed in collaboration with Shigeto, Corbu, DROID (Amir Ziv, Jordan McLean, Adam Holzman) and the late Lawrence “Butch” Morris.
